Chester Dawes joined Vision Ridge as CFO in 2026. Prior to joining Vision Ridge, Chester spent seven years as COO & CFO of Palistar Capital, a New York based digital infrastructure investment firm. Prior to Palistar, he was the Head of Finance Transformation, Global Wealth and Asset Management for Manulife/John Hancock. Before joining Manulife/John Hancock, Mr. Dawes was the CFO & Treasurer for a private equity firm in Canada, specializing in distressed and undervalued investing. Chester also served as CFO (Specialty Funds) and Director, Finance at Brookfield Asset Management. He has also held progressively senior positions in Canada, Europe and Asia for Husky Technologies and started his career as an auditor with Deloitte.
Chester is a Chartered Professional Accountant (Ontario), Chartered Accountant (Ontario), Certified Global Management Accountant, and a CFA charter holder. He holds a Bachelor of Mathematics, and a Post Baccalaureate Diploma from the University of Waterloo.
